Time to take a break from seriousness and intensity. Here’s some much-needed light relief.
Patrick Barrington, or as he was to become, the 11th (and last) Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and 11th Baron Barrington of Newcastle, Co. Limerick, was an unusual fellow. Little seems to remain of him online apart from the fact of his efforts at Bletchley Park during the Second World War … and his comic verse. Which is a lot of fun. I suspect he was a great addition to the Bletchley team, for morale’s sake if nothing else.
