Topical Treasure
- This is scary but important: 1984 wasn’t cancelled – merely postponed. John Naughton on the perils of internet surveillance.
- Remove the subject of a famous photograph and one is left with the ghosts of a traumatic history – rather like visiting the places of atrocity as a tourist. These are chilling and provocative images by artist Pavel Maria Smejkal – they do what many spin-doctors and propagandists down the ages have all attempted.The obliteration of history.
