Sacred Treasure Perpetua & Felicity: two remarkable 3rd Century women… and martyrs. Nadya Williams on how they show Christianity was radically pro-women in a misogynistic

Saw this yesterday. The stats are worrying indeed but I’m not sure the video does women’s equality any favours. Does wearing a dress and heels really equate to what it means to be a woman? “Have you ever considered what it is like to be a woman? Here, dress up as a stereotype and be none the wiser”
I agree – the stats are very disturbing, but I found the drag thing a bit patronising. Some have also criticised the way it promotes not just equality but interchangeability:
“I have no doubt that the distortions of the truth by the radical feminists of our time will, someday, be seen as having been the greatest intellectual crime of the second half of the 20th century. Meanwhile, we still live under the aegis of that crime and to call attention to it is an act of great moral courage”.

The one-dimensional distorted message of this video, relating and purposefully veiling the real truth of worldwide gender specific suffering, societal and personal expectation, opportunity, choice, ambition, reward etc. is quite sickening. Shame on you Judi Dench. And you look sad, brow beaten and brainwashed Daniel Craig. Quite pathetic.
Judy, I’ve got news for you. The Men’s Movement is now here.
Feminists have proven time and again they cannot grasp the facts and cannot follow any line of reasoning.
The stats have ALL been misquoted. Working at home cleaning or cooking is hardly the same as spending all daylight hours down in a hole digging coal, or up on shaky dangerous scaffolding carrying heavy hods or emptying back-breaking filthy bins.
Feminists will stop asking silly questions not when the answer is “yes”, because it isn’t yes. They’ll stop when the answer is “shut up”.

Is that the best we can do?
Well observed Rach, but maybe that’s the whole point …
